Poesia solid glass bricks in 5 colours for light-filled interiors – Architecture and Design

Brickworks Building Products presents the Poesia collection of solid glass bricks, displaying the fine quality, craft traditions and refined beauty of Italian glassmaking.

Australia’s first Venetian glass brick collection from Austral Bricks, Poesia is a range of crystal-clear glass bricks made in Italy using the famous Murano glassmaking techniques. Years of effort were invested in the development of the Poesia brick collection to ensure it offered the crispness and purity of glass with the durability of brick construction.

Available in a palette of five colourways, the collection allows architects and designers to create dynamic light-filled interiors and dazzling gallery spaces.

The Poesia collection is available in a standard format measuring 230mm x 110mm x 76mm in three elegant finishes – natural, polished and frosted – to suit contemporary architectural designs. The solid glass construction of the bricks allows their use internally or externally, while still providing consistent thermal shock resistance.

“The Poesia brick encapsulates one of Italy’s finest design traditions,” says Brickworks general manager of marketing, Brett Ward.

“With the Poesia collection, we’ve captured that creative spirit and finely honed technique to produce a faultless glass brick that will allow Australian designers to bring their most innovative, light-filled designs to life.”

The Poesia collection comprises of five refined colourways from the pristine white of Arctic Crystal, to the soothing blues of Aqua Marine and Blue Sapphire, and the warm Golden Amber to the moody Smokey Quartz.

“The colours in the Poesia brick collection perfectly meld the vibrant hues of the Australian landscape with a versatile and contemporary palette that will suit a diverse range of projects, whether indoors or out,” adds Ward.

With the new Poesia collection, Brickworks continues to push the boundaries in creating innovative building materials for both residential and commercial spaces.
