En los trece años que duró la guerra de independencia hubo en Venezuela al menos 200 mil muertes de ambos bandos. La guerra desatada contra el pueblo por el castro-chavismo-madurismo-militarismo para permanecer atornillado al poder, entre 1999 y 2018 dejó un saldo siniestro de 336.029 muertes, según el informe presentado al país el 30 de abril de 2019. Vale decir que en esos dos decenios 40 personas perdieron la vida cada día por los cuerpos de exterminios de los dictadores Hugo Chávez y Nicolás Maduro.
Según escribió la periodista Luisa Quintero, de TalCual, el 9 de marzo de 2021, “Ni la pandemia detuvo el aumento de las ejecuciones extrajudiciales en 2020, según un informe de PROVEA y el Centro Gumilla”, recordando que “Esta grave violación a los derechos humanos ha sido denunciada por la Alta Comisionada Michelle Bachelet y forma parte de los delitos por los cuales es investigado Nicolás Maduro ante la CPI”. La fuente añadió:
-El Programa Venezolano de Educación – Acción en Derechos Humanos (PROVEA) y el Centro Gumilla denunciaron que en todo el país se registraron 2.853 ejecuciones extrajudiciales durante 2020, uno de los peores registros de este delito en varios años, principalmente cometidas por la Policía Nacional Bolivariana y su Fuerza de Acciones Especiales (PNB – FAES), el Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (CICPC) y las policías estadales.
